Use this table as a guide to the approximate number of weeks that your plants may need feeding after potting.

| Bedding plants, tomatoes, salad crops | 5 – 6 |
| Houseplants, fuchsias, chrysanthemums | 6 – 7 |
| Herbs, geraniums (pelargoniums) | 7 – 8 |
| Roses, herbaceous | 8 – 9 |
| Shrubs, trees, ferns | 9 – 10 |
