Cottage Herbery wins Gold
Congratulations to Kim and Rob Hurst, owners of Cottage Herbery. They took Gold in The Great Pavilion at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Their win at Chelsea is the culmination of years of dedication and a triple celebration they recently won a gold medal at Malvern, and they are also celebrating 30 years of growing peat-free plants organically.
The Cottage Herbery stand at Chelsea is sponsored by Fertile Fibre whose organic peat-free growing medium, has been used by them since its inception in 1976. Kim strongly believes that herbs grown for uses such as favouring, healing and fragrances, should be grown organically and peat-free.
Specialists in hardy perennials and aromatic plants, the Cottage Herbery exhibit at Chelsea replicates a natural garden with the emphasis on companion planting and natural growing techniques.
This display featured a selection of cottage flowers, herbs, native plants and unusual vegetables.
Fertile Fibre congratulates Kim and Rob on their success.
