Quality Control & Traceability

Fertile Fibre takes quality control very seriously. We are able to show full traceability on all ingredients.

Products have to pass Fertile Fibre’s stringent tests of use and conformity before they are allowed to enter our production process. Samples are kept on all products for our records and are required for the full audit carried out annually by the Soil Association. Individual batch numbers are logged on all products supplied to customers and an analysis of each sample is carried out randomly.

But what does this mean for you?
We are able to give you information on;
· When your individual bags or products were made & delivered
· Where and when the ingredients came from, which have been used in your products
· An analysis of the closest sample to your compost

So in short, a full organic traceability from delivery to despatch can be supplied to you.

Fertile Fibre also tests each product’s density for accurate measuring and mixing of your compost. A sample is taken on production and tested for pH and conductivity and if passed the compost is deemed fit for purpose.
All analyses are reveiwed by Mike Daly from the The Agrology House. The Agrology House, 7 Roselea Avenue, Welton, Lincoln, LN2 3RT.
We also regularly trial all composts and products.
